YSHIELD® DRY54 | Shielding Paint Powder | Powder for 3 liters

DRY54 is our special shielding paint for interior use, which is supplied as a powder for self-mixing. It has a long shelf life even without preservatives, lower worldwide shipping costs, less packaging waste, and an outstanding price/performance ratio overall. This paint is coarsely pigmented at 80 µm and forms a rather soft film. As a powder paint, we recommend its use indoors on walls, ceilings, and floors, where it adheres well to problematic substrates. Apply with a paint roller. This paint is the right choice if you want to avoid preservatives, are willing to accept limitations in terms of application and hardness, and don't mind spending a little extra time mixing it. • This powder shielding paint stays nearly as liquid as water while mixing – the dust formation is extremely limited, as the powder blends immediately with the water. The paint becomes thicker after 10 minutes resting time – it can be perfectly painted with afterwards and you will get a nice flow for an even shielding.
• The phenomenal price-performance-ratio is achieved, as the DRY54 only costs half as much as our liquid paints. That is why you can paint two times for the same costs.
• The powder gets bagged and then vacuum-packed three times. Vacuum-packed into one another, using three bags – that is why no moisture will get into the powder, even years later.
• The powder needs to be mixed with water - what you will need to do so: Digital scales, protective mask, safety glasses, our paint stirrer AR42, a bucket for mixing, a drilling machine (electric screwdriver) and 30 minutes of your time.

TÜV-SÜD certification

We have all our shielding paints monitored by TÜV-SÜD. The test standard is TM-07 (testing for health-related ingredients and emissions, product and process monitoring, control of input materials). This means that this paint is free of emissions (VOC), plasticizers (SVOC), solvents, and is highly breathable. The TÜV guideline TM-07 is largely compatible with international standards from UL Greenguard, Intertek Clean Air, etc. according to LEED v4 and is therefore mutually recognizable. Shielding attenuation HF & LF

This shielding paint shields high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) and has been tested from 600 MHz to 40 GHz in accordance with the IEEE Std 299-2006 standard. Since the high values at 40 GHz are not very realistic, the shielding attenuation values we specify always apply at 1 GHz. 

At 4 sqm/l (thick coat): Single coat 40 dB | Double coat 48 dB 
At 8 sqm/l (thin coat): Single coat 33 dB | Double coat 41 dB 

This shielding paint with an electrically conductive surface also shields low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF). 

Ready for 5G: Some companies offer “special” 5G shielding products.
